Question about Evoms Intake

Hey hows it going I just picked up my car from the Mechanic and he installed my Evoms intake

i am very Happy with The Inproved Performance and Sound it mostely Kicks in at About 4K Rpm's and Up But from what i hear The ECU has to get use to reading More Air so it might take awhile for the FULL INCREASEMENT!!

when i ordered the intake it came with these 2 silver Plugs One is to Plug the Resonance Chamber and one is to plug the Snorkel

so after i picked up my car from having the Intake Installed the mechanic DID NOT USE THE PLUGS so i asked WHY and he said "i did not remove the snorkel Becuase this way you get more AIR into the engine"

IS THAT TRUE or WAS HE JUST TOO LAZY! should i just take off the snorkel my self and if so HOW DO I DO SO!!! and what kinda tools do i need

my car is a 2000 boxster NoN S (do i even have a resonance chamber) should those plugs both be installed

thanks for your REPLYS i really appreciate it!!!
