Steering shake fixed.
Evening all, I haven't had my 986 S very long but I had a severe vibration at the steering wheel when braking from higher speeds. I had the rear disks and pads changed today and the problem is gone.
I get the car terracleened on Saturday so if anyone would like to know how I get on I will post after I have had it done?

Well had the S Terracleened and the car feels great it's got it's mojo back. Happy days. Also sorted the no sound out of my PCM1 it was the fuse in the back of the head unit.

Cleaner for the engine to remove carbon. Ever heard of the Google?

Jcslocum,
I am sorry, I heard of Sea Foam before but nor Terracleen...
But he mentioned that the vibration was felt on the steering wheel during heavy breaking, what could be the relation with the engine..?

Sorry for the confusion guys, please let me clarify the situation, I cured the vibration it the swearing wheel by replacing the back disks and pads and on the same day I also had the car terracleened, the terracleened takes all the carbon and other deposits out of your whole fuel system from the injectors to the exhaust tip. Both actions have made the care run a lot sweeter than it did before I had them done. New tyres next week.

There don't seem to be very many Terraclean locations in the US. It's possible that it isn't allowed in most states.

That has to be a complete rip-off. Modern fuel-injected cars just do not build up carbon. And even if they did, the accepted way of cleaning out carbon from a high-performance car is an Italian tune up, where you drive the car at over 100 miles an hour at red line for half an hour to clean everything up.
