My 986 S came with the Pirellis but I've since changed to the Michelins. Overall I'm happier with the Michelins. The road noise is considerably less and they ride over speed humps more comfortably. They feel a bit more planted in the wet too. On the track i prefer the Michelins too. Not done any scientific tests but I think they give a bit more feedback.
