It's most likely the rear track arms, which go from just behind the seats to the control arm. The spherical bearings that mount to the chassis wear, and you get lots of clunking over sharp bumps. If it sounds like the banging is from right behind you, that's it.

They are pretty straightforward to replace.

I think that's the one I meant... I'm terrible at remembering suspension terminology and I like pictures.
