Pulled a 5 speed manual transmission out of a 98 that was not shifting. The transmission appeared to have been a replacement as it was too clean compared to the engine where they mate. I cannot find any Porsche part numbers on the case. I do find the following;
On bellhousing:
WW02
012 301 103 T
On tail
LAU 012 301 Z11R
A google search implies 012,301,103 could be from an Audi 80 all wheel drive. Can't confirm compatiablity with the 98 Boxster. Any of you recognize any of this?

PS: as a side note, was the 99 5 speed different from 97 & 98? I've seen several used trannys for sale that do not include 99 when describing their 5 speed for the 2.5L Boxster.
