The Electric Slide -er, Fan...

The fan in the rear that comes on to cool the engine when it gets hot...
For some reason, it comes on when ever I start my car, even if it has been sitting peacefully overnight.

It's done that since I AutoX'd Sunday.

Is that normal? It didn't used to do that. Has anyone else experienced this?

If the A/C compressor is on, the fan will be on. If it seems to be on all the time, the relay or temp sensor for the fan may have failed. The temp sensor a little stick that is held between the intake "spider" pipes on the passenger side of the engine compartment.

If there's a real problem with the engine compartment fan, the light on the temp guage should flash to warn you.

I know we have different year cars, but my fan comes on immediately also. In fact, I think the Box is louder than my 4 Runner with all the fans and what-not.
