1997 Production Number?

Can anyone provide the worldwide production for the 1997 Boxster? Or a link to a site with this info.

These are calendar year production figures.

1996 - 2,314
1997 - 20,641

Since they are calendar yr, not model yr., there are probably 4 mos. of the 1997 production that are '98 models. Assuming a reasonably even production rate, the actual number of '97 model year cars is probably somewhere around 16,100 cars.

Maybe someone else can come up with the actual model year numbers.

Thanks for taking the time to look into this for me. Production was much higher than I anticipated. And unfortunately too high for me to apply for collector insursance. Guess I'll have to wait till the car is 25 years old.
