Guys, get off his ass. He did wonders for my Econoline............

Great, with all of your sarcasm and suspicion you 'geniouses' have ruined our chance to finally be up there with the 996 guys. I bet that the OP never posts here again and we will start seeing 2.5-2.8 times from those Rennlist guys.
...and Smallblock454, if your going to chip your car yourself it's Doritos man, D-O-R-I-T-O-S. |
I'm taking your advice and going over to try the 996 guys, you'll see their times and then want in :) anyone interested though. PM me and we will keep in touch as I conduct my tests and get things rolling.
Will still post my results to this thread when everything is how I like, untill then... Happy Motoring |

For the record, I'm not one to usually pile on but this guy, his "recommend-er", their just joined status, trying to sell something here without being a vendor, etc., etc. etc. Like they say, there's one born every minute. The 996 guys will and should wholesale tear ass also if they have any brains. ECU, you may want to get further in development then post. You are going about this entirely the wrong way, my 2 cents. |
sorry, had to get in on this. want an easy way to get your boxster to 60 in under 3 seconds ...

I just love ECU mods that defy physics. So cool! Maybe they forgot to mention it would require a few minor additional propulsion mods.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7VBex8zbDRs I could run a 3.0 second 0-60 in my car for free with no ECU or engine mods. All I have to do is remove 1500 lbs from the car. Pffffft, Hosers! |
Here is another great option for 2.8 seconds:
Move Over Tesla, this New Car is Powered by Salt Water and Has Over 900 Horsepower |

This reminds me of someone who've done that btdc adv timing thingy along with blind AFR tweaks a few years ago. yea that Audi TT was fast and sounded like a Motogp bike, <4 secs 0-60 of something but ran for about 2.5minutes before blowing up to pieces. Happened as soon as the engine reached operating temp. Traumatizing experience, happened at our local circuit... 20+ dudes watching. Epic fail LOL |

Boy, you guys sure look silly. I had ECU Doc do the upgrade for me and my box now goes 0-60 in under 1 second and 0-145 in 3 seconds. I bet you are all jealous now.;)
|
I have been looking on the RL 996 forum for his post
nothing yet, damn~!! |

I have to have two parachutes added to the box in order to come to a stop. |
I heard that ecu doctor actually designed the Nissan GT-R, I knew there was something crazy behind that 2.5 second Nissan Altima. He was fired because it was too fast and then followed his passion with Cameros.

I've seen ~400HP M96 Boxsters with ECU remaps.
What I couldn't see is the $30k of other parts inside the engine necessary to hold the thing together. Darn near every internal part of that engine was non original. |
And you've seen them running on a dyno or at least the sheets?

The thread smells of dodge neon srt4 forum material.

Ahhh it is chilly outside here in NY. But these delicious flames are keeping me toasty warm.
|
After spending hours and hours searching, I finally found a remapped Boxster along with a dyno graph. I hope that we can get a group buy. (And I'm going to try to get the clear windshield option)...

With a diesel?

still no post on rennlisrt 996 forum
Need something to spice thing up over there |
There is one way to dramatically improve your 0-60 times, change from mph to kph.
Think it's the button you adjust the clock with so you dont even need a Durametric. 0-60kph should be around 3 or 4 seconds. |

I want to see a moped do that three second 0-60.
Do you think I can get this ECU remap to work on my 2 barrel carb equipped Jeep CJ? |
Boxster owners should band together and get the ECU Doctor on a contract, a contract that he modifies only Boxster ECU’s and no other model Porsches… That would really get those 996/997 guys spun-up.
|
I just remapped my own ECU using my iPhone. It was easy to do and now my Boxster does zero to 60 in 2.5 seconds. I'm going hunting for 918s.
|
I couldn't afford "The ECU doctor" so I hired The ECU nurse practitioner instead. Only got me down to 3.2 in the 0-60 but happily she increased my fuel economy to 56 mpg and beautiful women now find me irresistible!
|
I believe JD had his ECU reprogrammed a couple years ago.
