Can I use a 996 AOS on my 986s?

I'm asking this bc I know my 986 needs one soon. I have a almost new 996 AOS. The only difference is the two vacuum line ports on the top. Can I just leave those undone? Or is that going to cause the AOS not to work correctly?

I thought those were ports for water cooling? I don't know the answer to your question though.

Could be water cooling. It's been a while since I've done one on a 996 and my 996 is in a different state at the moment. If it's just water cooling Id imagine I should be ok. But I'll wait to see if some one chimes in with some knowledge 👍

Garage
You can, the small connections are for coolant lines to warm it up. Boxsters rarely have that problem being mid-engine.
