987 temp gauge

Hi fellows

Is there an equivalent in the 987 to the climate panel hack from the 986 where you can have it display various data including coolant temp?

Stupidly, the temp gauge in 987s is heavily buffered and essentially useless.

Thanks.

No equivalent. And since the Boxster does not have an oil temp gauge (and oil temp lags coolant temp big time), like the big-brother 911, it's all useless. In my Boxster, when the needle hit the "8" on the "180" reading, I figured it was go time. My car was never driven in the winter months.

Not sure if it's available on newer models, but on the 986 you can push two of the AC control buttons simultaneously and then scroll through all sorts of diagnostic information such as coolant temp, etc. Someone more knowledgeable about 987s may be able to chime in here with the process.
