				Engine power

so, i've got a question. i have a 2006 987 cayman s, and it's engine was replaced in 2011, 2 years after the facelift, and the +25 horsepower in the engine. is it possible, that my cayman has this 320 hp engine instead the 295 hp, or it's just computer tuning?

Porsche would not just replace your engine with a new crate motor with the higher HP rating. They don't do that. And, no, it's not just a computer thing to get the extra HP's.

Why do you ask? Does the car feel like it has more power after the motor swap?

I doubt you got a new direct fuel injection engine, they would need to replace the ecu, which would seem unlikely to me.

Doesn't matter. You had 295 hp. Porsche does not give upgraded engines away.

			2006 car shipped with a M97 engine
 2011 cars shipped with a 9A1 engine

Two totally different engines.. the "320" engine does not go into your 06 without a lot of effort (I know, I've done it)

Now, with a GT3 throttle body and 987 BoxsterS headers? tune it? (not the bullsh_t flash everyone sells) 340 easily out of your M97 3.4
