What is the automatic transmission name?

Meaning what model number is it?

Got a new project, torque converter seal seems to be leaking badly and I'm thinking a bad bushing is the root cause.

Hey healthservices, don't know the number but I've heard some VW/Audi transmissions are very similar. Do you plan on rebuilding it, or replacing it with another?

Debating on that when I remove the trans. It just maybe too worn out and putting new fluids in after the seal replacement maybe too much for the trans to take.

In case someone does a search and finds this. Its a

ZF 5HP-19

ZF 5HP19 transmission - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This info to is inportant to have when rebuilding as this identifys the trans you have to parts personel when you need parts for this specific transmission. They can care less if it from a porsche as it is fairly generic trans that is used in many vehicles
