If both cam locking tools will not slide in completely it is not at tdc. hopefully you still have your old crankshaft pulley, it can't be more than 15 mins of work to slip that back on. Otherwise how are you locking the crank at TDC?

HS,

1) The cam locking tool I was able to borrow does not have the tabs that slide into the cam notches, it has two bolts that press against the cams to keep them from rotating (by friction)

2) I was planning to lock the crank at the rear (flywheel side) using a steel bar between the crank bolts and the bellhousing

3) Unfortunately, when I installed the underdrive pulley, I used plenty of locktite red (yes, shame on me...) and I don't have a big enough breaker bar that will be required to loose the crank bolt, however, I do have the OEM pulley

By any chance do you have the locking tool that locks the cams by inserting the wedges into the cam slots? I live in Yorba Linda and I am very close to Tustin...
