Location: 00 Boxster Purge Valve

Can someone point me in the right direction: LH / RH side of engine, top / bottom of engine compartment / or other location were I can find this part that I want to change?

I purchased a regeneration valve and purge valve and just can't find the location of the purge valve.

Both these numbers are on the box the purge valve came in:

PN: 996-605-201-01/244
PN: 7.22098.04.0

Any help would be appreciated.

thanks,

Fern

Not exactly sure about the valves, but the carbon canister is located in the passenger side fender behind the wheel. You have to remove the wheel and the fender liner to get to them.

This link has a photo of the canister location: http://www.renntech.org/forums/topic/40799-evaporative-canister-question/

And this link shows the whole EVAP system: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/boxster-cayman-forum/669017-hot-start-problem-code-p0446-2.html

Did you find it? It's located behind the right front wheel, behind the fender liner.

If those are solenoid valves, you can test the old ones by applying 12 volts to the terminals. Watch the polarity.
