I actually went out to Vegas and meet with these guys - Scott gave me a ride in that car. It was truly amazing. All the handling of a Boxster (LS engine weighs about the same!), and the power of a 'Merican V8! A match made in heaven...

If I didn't live in CA, i would do this in a heartbeat...

Is there some sort of law in CA that says you can't do this? Sorry, I'm just a dumb Canuck singin' "little deuce coupe..." Figured it was the land of the outrageous mods!

It's the land of outrageous smog, even with the toughest emissions regulations in the country.

The Phoenix area also has super tough smog laws. Glad we do even though it's a pain at times but it's better then breathing the air we had growing up in the 70s in the LA area or the crap that China has.

What would that GT3 engine have that your engine doesn't and how much more horsepower Bypro?

GT3 is rated 375 HP & 285 ft/lbs torque, in a 996. In a Boxster it will lose approx. 5% of that power & much more in smog legal form.

AZ is simple compared to CA.

Unless it has become tougher in California since I moved from there 8 years ago it's about the same. Up until recently I had to smog my motorcycle every year.
