FYI after 300 miles of driving there are NO pending or stored codes.

Another note for those that may run into this issue the IAT sensor near the passenger side fuel rail was the culprit for the erratic operation of the engine compartment fan. After replacing that sensor ($16.50 for a forum sponsor) the fan now operates exactly as it should!

The stumble is completely gone after replacing the MAF. My biggest issue now is the difficulty getting the remaining emission monitors to set, as well as the occasionally uneven idle. And its a very subtle bump in the idle, most wouldn't notice it, but I know its not as smooth as the idle in our 98 box

SUCCESS!!! After a (very long) drive last night on the highway after a cold start and brief warm up the EVAP monitor ran, and now I'm the proud owner of a (not so beautiful) neon yellow inspection sticker!
