Cylinder order

Can someone share a pic or tell me - yes I did a search on google and couldn't find what I needed - the cylinder order for a 2.7? Meaning is it 135 and 246 on the left and right sides etc.

Jager 10-24-2013 06:41 PM

2-4-6 on the left (US driver's side) 1-3-5 on the right (US passenger side).

Someone help. Below from Jager says the opposite of this... Anyone confirm Jager or Picture?

Jager 10-28-2013 04:30 PM

Trimer,
The picture is correct... my bad.

trimer 10-28-2013 04:33 PM

Got it...123 on one side and 456 on the other...

Jager 10-28-2013 04:39 PM

Yep, I had another motor in my head when I replied, sorry for the confusion.

Paul 10-28-2013 04:44 PM

Jager and the picture are both correct. The confusion is that the picture is a 996 motor.

Ok Paul...so then it is in fact 135 and 246?

Jager 10-28-2013 05:12 PM

Cylinders 1 - 2 - 3 are on the passenger side (US), with cylinder 1 being the front (Boxster) and 4 - 5 - 6 are on the driver's side (US), cylinder 4 being the front.

If you work on GM motors... odd numbers are on one side, even numbers on the other.

Front pulley.

Jager 10-28-2013 05:57 PM

And the firing order is: 1 - 6 - 2 - 4 - 3 - 5

My bad, I should have read the OP more closely. #1, #2 and #3 are on the passenger side.

I read the OP as a question as to which side #1 was on.
