Steering Wheel Delete ?

Has anyone tried this in an attempt to reduce unsprung, rotational mass ? How does it effect

Seems like a better option than the single-mass lightweight steering wheel

I prefer the 3-spoke model.

It's the 2 spoke Harbor 'Fright' steering wheel option.

Instead of an airbag, you get a huge bolt sticking straight out that will plunge into your face or chest upon impact. The NHTSA won't be happy about this and will demand that you redesign it with a smooth bolt head instead of the standard hex.
