Horn Problem

Ok. Today I was driving home from work in my 1999 base model and every time I down shifted into second gear the horn started blowing! It also blew when I hit a serious bump in the road. I have read other threads about the horn blowing when the brake was applied, but this seems to happen every time I down shift to second gear. Do you think it's the bracket behind the airbag that needs replacing?
Thanks

Yeah, it's the worn out bushings on the bracket that's causing your horn to go off when downshifting. Eventually it'll start happening more frequently such as every time you start to brake. Use the search function on here to find how to fix it- some people replace the whole bracket while others just "tweak" the bushings or make new ones.
