Tire width?

I wish I could downsize my rear 265 Michelins.... Will settle for upsizing the fronts to 255. Stock stagger makes the car understeer like a pig.

Any tire combo could be balanced with adjustible anti-roll bars, sadly they are much more money than I'd like to spend right now. IIRC, you can't just install an adjustible rear bar, because even on it's softest setting it will cause excessive oversteer.

Greetings all-
My wife fell in love with a 2002 Boxster last night and it is now in my garage. Purchase from a local dealer and I have all the info. Question right now is Tires? I have read through several strings and think I have a problem. The car has the tires on it.

Front: 245/35zr/19
Rear: 285/30zr/19

Dealer said he just put two new front tires on it, Front tires are rubbing, obviously, when you make a decent turn. You can see the rub mark in the pictures. I'm also not sure these are the correct rims for this car. I have included pictures. Rims do look good on the car. Just confused. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for all the input on my tire questions everyone. I went with stock sizes and N PS2's, as these are the best tires I can get here in these sizes. Looking forward to putting them on in a few weeks.

That wheel setup is quite large for that wheel-well. You have two choices:

1. get lower profile 30 to 20 percent (middle number). @ 30%, it's 0.5" less; @ 25%, it's 1" less; and so on...
2. get new wheels and tires.
