Clean Out Those Radiators - WoW

OK...so I finally decided with new water pump and low temp t-stat installed the other day it was time to tackle the radiator clean out. Not just the vacuum cleaner in the intakes but a real cleaning by bumper cover removal. I have to admit my imagination told me it was a tough job... NOT !

I watched a short video posted on here. Looked simple enough. It is relatively easy and what a benefit. Just a few tools and the garden hose (I have an air compressor on hand, so I used it too.) Take a look at all the debris inside. Now go clean yours.

In 63.3 more miles, you should buy a lotto ticket.
Yes, I cleaned mine out three months ago.

Looks like a farmer owns this car lol. When I cleaned mine out it looked like it had been owned by a pet groomer, looked like fur in the rads. I'll have to look up where my car came from one day.

This is on my soon to do list. My car came from Oregon, looks pretty clean back in there, but I've had it in KS for 5 years. I live in an agricultural area, so lots of grain dust and debris in the air all the time.

Video on YouTube, search 986 996 bumper removal. Also on renntech.org under videos 996 section.

Rather simple!

I watched the video posted by Moresquirt on 6-25-13. It is this forum not to far down the list. I'm not a farmer but I live in farm country. My wife and I spend a lot of time on these roads for 2 reasons. This area is full of mint farms that smell so good. These roads don't have any traffic and are fun to play on.
