I am about to go look at an '01 Base Model with 90K miles that has been dealer maintained and all records are available. I have learned over the years that a phone call about a used car reveals very little information. The car has to be seen, driven and inspected. I am making arrangements to do all that.
In the course of the phone conversation I was told that the dealer has done a recent service and says that the car needs only one thing, "O-rings." The dealer quoted $1,200 for this job. The person, the owners son, didn't know what o-rings.
I can't imagine what o-rings would be a $1,200 job unless there is an a/c leak.
Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance for your comments.
