I have a boxter 1998 its a 2.5 72000 miles had a slight problem when i put me foot down it sort of held back so i booked it in to a porsche dealership thay did tests said it was the mass air flo sensor thay wanted £2225.55 to do it :-( bloody hell , i got one off ebay for £152 it comes tuesday gona fit it me self day light robbery

FYI - You'll also need a T20 Torx type of socket to remove and replace the MAF.

As I remember, it is the "tamper proof" torx type fastener that needs to have a hole in the center of the torx bit. Look carefully at it before buying the tool.

Yep it is the tamper proof torx and T20 is the size you need. Did it on a friend's Boxster two weekends ago. Spent more time trying to get the electrical connector on the MAF off than anything else! Still not more than a 30 minute job, even for a first timer.
