Stay with the looks and sound or save for an upgrade engine.
The std Boxster is a pretty fast car on twisty roads but will never be number one on the highway. More power is a never ending story
Not sure that a turbo or SC Boxster will survive that long to justify the investment .
Guess it is not extremely difficult to do the plumbing for a SC or Turbo, but there is a lot of issues around it, like how to solve the AOS setup, seems to be hard enough sometimes on standard cars
