It's always something
Ok so going in to install the new o2 sensors I found that the shop that did the install of the headers didn't tighten the transaxle cover. I am missing a bolt. It is one of the two at the front of the pan. Can someone tell me what size they are? Maybe a part number? Thanks guys. Trying to keep things ship shape.

Thanks Eric. Unfortunately I tried quite a few of the parts diagrams, but the bolt is not shown. It appears to be an m10 bolt with flange. I may just take the one off and go to the parts store. I was just hoping to get one while it was still on the lift.

Are you talking about the bolts that connect the Trans to the Motor? Naa, that can't be, just reread your initial post.

Hey mark, no it the pan under the trans. It has two bolts fore and aft as well as two nuts on each side the connect to the cross braces. I am trying to find a diagram to reference, but having no luck this morning.

The triangular shaped pan, part number twelve. It's the two bolts at the front.

I had some sizes and torque spec lists for some of the bolts / assemblies here on my computer still from when I did the IMS work on your car, thought I might get lucky but not so. I remember those bolts well. Bentley Manual say anything?

I also remember that diagonal brace could need persuading to get the rearmost holes close enough for the bolts / nuts to "catch".
Where are JFP and Schoir when we need them?

Hey, it's cold, snowy, and I'm off today..........or at least I thought I was. In any case, they are M10 bolts on the reinforcement plate, and torque to 34 ft. lb.

Thanks guys. I will be waiting to see if the length is available. Otherwise I will get a few different lengths and determine which is correct. New volks wheels look good. Need to get stock lug bolts for the rear. The turbo twists had 10mm spacers back there.

Off the top of my head, I don't know the length, but they are all the same in the plate, so you can check one of the existing ones for length. But it is a M10 bolt.
