All these goodies just keep adding up. One can easily spend more than the value of the car on mods for the track.
Well... it's all worth it in the middle-end of that 2nd session when you nail an awesome lap. (... and realize that it could be a lot better if you had Senna's skills. Gotta go back for more)

Radiators: Looked like someone was using it to mow the lawn.

I cut the line to drain the system and install the PS cooler, but I did not see any plug or drain valve.

Thanks for the planet9 referral.
I plan on installing a full sweep oil pressure/temp gauge... just because...

As far as oil starvation, I'm hoping the oil sump baffle will do the trick initially, as suggested by some of the members here.
In my case, we're talking about a driver with less than 10 track days of experience and non-sticky tires for now.

but then,
Would you elaborate on the issues and root cause?

Oil temperature!

The G forces are NOT the root of the problem.

That begs the question, what is the root?

5,000 mile old oil?

In seriously tracking a Boxster, you can easily spend the value of the car in upgrades needed for the track and then spend the value of the car again in tires, brakes, gas, entry fees, etc.

And yes, it is all worth it when you hit that magical lap..

Jake,
Do you believe that some of these engine could be failing due to connecting rod bolts that stretch..? Or connecting rod bearings that fail due to poor lubrication?
a mix of these two, or something else?
Hopefully you won't mind sharing your comments, thank you.
