A little info (and question) about the IACV. I was recently having a similar problem in the 928 so I started searching the forum for that car to see if I could expect a new MAF, O2 Sensor, or what. Turns out it's the same problem KRZTACO had, but very easy to fix. Several threads on the forum had people (including techs who work on our cars) who popped open the intake hose that connects to the IACV and sprayed WD40 in it. They let it sit for 5+ minutes then reconnected the hose and cranked her up. If it didn't take care of it, they repeated 2-3 times. I did this today and voila, the idle is smooth as silk. Two minutes and $.05 of WD40 was a sweet fix.

So the question is, can this be done with the Boxster? Is there an intake hose like this that is accessible and directly connected to the IACV?

Thanks!
