Thanks for the quick response JAAY. I went down to the garage to double check the throttle cable and it appears to me that the cable is seated correctly. I am convinced that it must be some sort of vacuum problem now, but I can't imagine what me removing and replacing the vacuum tube to the change over valve would have changed!
