Headlights

I just bought a set of 996 headlights and they have the highbeam and the low beam but what is the other small bulb it has been cut out. Also my fog lights do not work now, is there more I should check instead of the bulb, they are out on both sides.

No I just upgraded to clear lights with the amber removed, but when I opened the back, you can see the high and low beam, but the little lite has had the wires snipped and removed, I was wondering what it was, and should there be a problem with the fog lights going from a 996 to a Box.

My litronics have a little daytime running light, that could be what the wires were cut from

The lower one, but I couldn't find any pictures of the back exposed showing what the little bulb is for, and with it gone would it make the fog light not work also?

In the top picture, I see the hig and low beam, what is the little light next to them, mine only has a hole, and the wires have been clipped.

I don't mean to hijack the thread, but if one were to replace the stock bulbs with LEDs, which one of this bunch would be best?

I was curious about that too. Was it an option? It seems not all cars have them.
