Glad the source of the issue was found. You definitely wouldn't want to drive the car around for too long running hotter than normal.

Make sure that fan on the right side intake is also working. It pulls in air when the car's really hurting, like standing in traffic, idling, or just when the temperature is very high and the car needs all the cooling it can get. It has even come on to cool off the engine bay when I just turn on the car (not started) after it has been recently run and has been sitting heat soaking itself. It should kick in on its own at some point. Keep an ear out for it. You'll know when it's working as it sounds different from any of the other fans, and you'll feel it pulling air if you put your hand by the vent.
