Dash lights only come on sometimes? Help?

I have a 2002 Porsche Boxster S.
My dash display lights will not come on completely. Most of them turn on but then the display lights only flicker on sometimes for a few minutes while driving. I am not sure what it is since only some of the dash lights will flicker on for some time.

This is a picture of with all lights that are working on, you can see which ones aren't working pretty clearly (since its dark!)

Would love some help.

It may sound silly but have you tried tapping the entire console to see if it's a loose connection there? It would be simple and a good start to clean the light switch contacts too, a touch of break free might take care of any corrosion that might be causing the connection to vibrate on/off as you drive.

Sounds like it might be an ignition switch going out. Very common to have electrical glitches when it starts to go.
Replace Ignition Switch

Good call, that switch can be disassembled for those who are inclined and the procedures are outlined in the Bentley manual or just replace it. If you are going to replace it anyway and don't want to play junior switch surgeon, you can try a spray into the switch directly then work it with the key and repeat.
