I took mine out the other day whilst considering a desnorkel (I have an '03) - it was really hard and I thought that I would be ordering a new one with the force i was giving it. The hardest part is the bottom lower corner closest to the door - it has a plastic part that follows the shape of the corner, the rest are just straight clips. The clips (x2) are on the corners of the vent towards the rear wheels - pull them toward you carefully and at the same time try to slide the whole vent towards the back wheels - it's hard but it worked for me. Good luck and be brave!
