How to display the temperature

Hi,

While looking at ebay today I saw a 2001 Boxster base (like mine) but it was showing the temperature (70 deg F)... see pic below.

How do I get my Boxster to display the temperature ?

Thanks in advance.

Cheers
Terry

Using the Porsche System Tester 2, follow these steps:

1. Go under the "instruments" heading
2. Go to "modify coding"
3. Specify "with On-Board Computer"
4. Press the F8 key to commit the changes

I do not have the obc stalk and my dash displays the temperature as shown in the center display under the digital speed (ignore the non-working display circled in red):

An '00 or earlier will show temp if the system is activated without the wiring and switch/stalk, but an '01 and later will not without the complete installation due to a change in the DME....
