Help identify this sensor please

Took my front bumper off to clean the grill and fix the damaged lip .. then I saw this .. can anyone tell me what is this sensor is and if it should be connected somewhere instead of hanging like that ?

Thanks!

It is the outside air temp sensor, it clips into the OEM grill.

Ahh thanks .. I thought it was something more important like crash sensor that deploys the airbags if I tug on it wrong or something. LOL

If you have an early model (pre 04?), now is the chance to route the emergency trunk pull wire to the front of the bumper so you can access it through the towing eyelet hole in the bumper cover.
