Is that clutch a carbon fiber job? If so, I certainly believe that it could have gone bye bye that fast.

On the warranty issue, ditto the above. If he tracked the car, I can see Porsche denying coverage.

The 48K sounds like folklore but, who knows?

The owner does not race the car. The first replacement he had to sign something and it was covered under warranty. Now he has to pay for the second replacement. For local people that CGT was on display at the San Jose Grand Prix. It is a multi disc ceramic. There is only 1 mechanic at my dealer that is permitted to replace it. The car has to be strapped to the lif or it will fall off when the engine is removed.
