Boxster 2.7 - Squeak from front NS

Hi all

New to the forum today as I'm hoping someone can help me with an annoying squeak my 2.7 Boxster has developed from the front NS suspension.

I've had it in my local garage today, where they have done the obvious checks, bushes, shocks etc, but can't pin point the noise. The noise is more noticeable at low speeds over a bumpy surface and almost sound like a rubber squeak as opposed to a metallic rattle. There is no squeak when I pressed on the front end, so maybe rules out the shocks.

Any pointers from you would be much appreciated

Not sure what you mean by NS, but the suspension on these cars tends to squeak/creak when going over rises, like driveway ramps, speed bumps, etc. Its the ball joints on the lower control arm. Easy fix is to make a tiny puncture in the rubber boot on the ball joint and squirt WD40 or grease from an aerosal can into the boot with the thin tube provided with either product.

Doesn't last very long, but it should go awaytemporarily.
