Transmission bolt fell out?

Today I was replacing the flimsy original CV joint boot clamps on the inboard most side of the axles. The clamps were completely loose and grease had started to leak out of the boots. Replaced with radiator hose clamps and all is well, but I digress.

As I'm looking around, I see a threaded hole with no bolt at the lower right side of the tranny bell housing. I looked in the Porsche factory manual and it shows a 10mm tranny mount bolt there, but the threads are cut into the bell housing which doesn't make sense. Wouldn't the threads be cut into the hole in the motor block that the tranny bolts to? Am I missing something?

Of course, a hex head bolt, which I had, doesn't fit and I couldn't find the appropriate allen head bolt on a Sunday, so now I get to take out the diagonals and the plate under the tranny all over again if I have to replace the bolt. Oh well.
