Umm, the 1-9 knob doesn't change the spring rate at all. It changes the damper rate.

Ride height is adjustable with separate threaded collars. Generally, significant changes in ride height will mean you'll want a new alignment but you can get away with the small tweaks.

when you guys installed your coil overs what other components did you have to change ?

Other than realignment and corner balancing (if applicable) nothing had to be changed .

At the absolute least you will need adjustable rear toe arms to get camber and toe right.
