Evap Canister

Thanks for the reply and assistance. I pulled as hard as possible without trying to break any parts but it feels like something is bolted or screwed in from the back side. I also see one torx screw at the top part of the evap. Should that be removed? it does not look like it's attached to the car, but part of the evap itself. I will agree with you that this is PITA. I can't wait to get it off to have it replace. I'll try it again tomorrow

It might help to remove the two bolts holding the valve body toward the front of the fender. Unless the body is loosened or the stiff tubes removed at the top of the canister I doubt you will get enough freedom of movement to get the canister out. It was only one bolt on my 2000 S.

Evap canister

Many thanks to everyone in this forum that helped me with this issue. This was one expensive part...a little over $400...but it's done and over with now on to other projects. Thanks again for your tips!!!!
