2002 986 weird top electrical problem

Hi. I have a 2002 and I can't figure out where to look to solve this problem.

Problems: 1. Top light on dash stays on when top is up.

2. When doors are opened, the window drops a little like it should, but when I release the interior handle, the window snaps back up (before shutting the door).

Everything else seems to work like it should. When I release the top handle (by rearview mirror), windows go down, etc. Push the top button (with parking brake up) and top goes down like it should. Light on dash shuts off when top is fully open.

Is the window problem a relay? A switch?

Where should I look first?

Thanks!

just as when opening the top, when closing you need to keep pressing the button until the light goes off. Though it may 'look' closed and even latch, it's not until it's fully cycled and the light goes out.

O.K., I continue until the light goes out (I feel dumb for missing that one) when putting top up. Everything latched good, light out on dash, but when I open the door the window drops then goes right up when I let go of the handle (still).

Any ideas?
