fault code 48

The airbag warning light on my 2001 boxster recently came on and has stayed on. I have plugged in a diagnostic cable with durametric software and under the ALARM section it reads CURRENT FAULT CODES- 48 AIRBAG SIGNAL ACKNOWLEDGED. I am unable to clear the fault code. Can anybody give me any ideas on a fix.

If memory serves, that is one of the codes for the seat belt ground wire fault problem. There was a TSB out for it that required updating the wiring on the seatbelts. The code will not clear because the problem has not been fixed. Do a search as this has come up several times on multiple boards……….

Thanks for the help guys. Will try cleaning the connections under the passenger seat and will be ordering the service seat buckle kit as per the TSB.
