Brake Booster Install

So I ordered a Pelican Parts TRW Brake Booster to replace my heavily rusted out unit. Upon completing the install, which wasn't all that easy; wasn't all that hard. I find that the part is slightly different and thus is allowing air into the master cylinder. Sooo.. do I continue to use that (there is a small gap between where the rubber stretchy housing ends and the firewall) or do I get the proper replacement. The rubber stretchy thing that covers the actual brake pedal and it's brake booster counterpart is simply not long enough. Is there another device I can use to ensure that no air gets in? Do I need to take a picture to clarify all of this?

Frustrated.

Jon

What does Pelican have to say?

And was it not too easy or not too hard?

It was hard enough I don't want to redo it. If it's in need of being redone, I'm taking it to Bauer Porsche in Oakland, letting them redo it and calling Pelican to let them send the correct unit. I'd like to have them pay the labor too, but I should have quadruple checked.
