I don't know this seller, but $6,500 for the rebuilt motor plus install seems really pretty darn reasonable to me.... But that all depends on the reputation of this company as it's near impossible to tell if the engine was really rebuilt or not and the quality of work that was done.

Send a message via AIM to blinkwatt
http://ufomotorsport.com/996boxster_engines__warrantys_cores

Try to work a deal with them outside of eBay and Paypal fees.

Ask for a full list of whats "rebuilt" and how it is rebuilt. Then ask for a list of new parts. Then a list of "used parts".

Then consider how much value it offers. This is what people don't consider generally. Prices are nothing more than equation of parts and labor, there is no free lunch and a "discounted" lunch really isn't cheap in most cases.

Profit isn't allowed.. How dare any vendor make even one dollar from providing services for a Porsche.

Jake, I am one of your supporters. IMHO, you're occasionally a little overly defensive - perhaps one too many trolls.

My point was that the aspect of profit, which any business is obviously entitled to, is wholly dependent on what that business wants to charge. Some would put a nominal amount on it (perhaps because they're doing lots of work), while others may want to charge what they think the market will bear.

Not a comment disparaging your business practices.

I've been involved with at least 6 different markets within the automotive industry and a couple in the Aviation industry.. I've never worked with a group that was so "Vendor hateful" as the modern Porsche following..EVERYTHING the vendor does or offers is only to support some lavish lifestyle that the following falsely believes exists.
