Forgestar and Victor Equip. wheels

Hi Guys,

I'm contemplating some new 18" wheels for my black 98 986. I'm looking at Victor Equip's Lemans in hyper silver and Forgestar's F14s in gunmetal. Also worth mentioning, I'd like to run them without any spacers.

The Forgestar's are pretty light. at approx. 76 lbs total for an entire 18" staggered setup. But they are load rated for 1200 lbs ea. My car says it's GAWR ratings are 1709 lbs. for the front and 1973 lbs. for the rear. But, I can't for the life of me find if that rating is for each independent axle end or for say the whole front end, etc. If that rating is in fact for each axle end, then this discussion is over. Does anyone know? Also, does anyone know what the Lemans weigh? There isn't much info beyond cosmetics on Victor's site.

Anyhow, I'd love to hear comments regarding either of these wheels.

Thanks
-ian

Load ratings mean nothing to light cars like our boxsters. I'd certainly go for the lighter setup. You'll realize how much heavy wheels can affect acceleration.

Gross Axle Weight Rating is for each wheel PAIR. So 1,923 lb. rear GAWR is ~962 lbs. per wheel, if divided equally.

Thanks for the info guys. I appreciate it.

Through a little more research, I discovered on Amazon of all places, the Lemans are 112 lbs. total... Seems like the Forgestars may be the way to go. Although, I've read about guys having to wait 15+ weeks to receive them! What the heck is that all about?

A couple of pics of the Forgestars below... Does anybody on here have these on their box?
