problem installing new steering wheel

hey guys. I'm hoping that one of you will know what I'm talking about.

I bought a 3-spoke steering wheel and tried to install it today. I had a CRAZY problem though that I couldn't get around. One of the two bolts that hold the air bag in has some anti-theft security measure in place. There's a skinny bar across the inside of the bolt socket where I would stick the torx key in, preventing me from being able to loosen the bolt.

Have any of you guys ran into this??? Any suggestions for me to try??? I gave up trying after ruining two screwdrivers and spending an hour. Gonna probably just bring it to the dealership if I can't solve this.

Thanks for any help you guys can give me.

Can you take a picture? I've had my steering wheel off a couple of times without issue.

Good idea. I won't be able to for a day or so, but thank you for your interest!
