Swap door speakers/lower panels from '00 to '03?

I've got a 2000 S model with door speakers, and I'm looking at purchasing an '03 that does not have door speakers. Anyone know if it's possible to swap them to the newer car? Does the entire door panel have to be swapped, or does the lower (carpeted) part come off separately? Sure like having the door speakers...

The panel is all one piece. As far as the interchange between 2000 and 2003, I do not know.

I would assume the panels would fit, but you'll obviously have to run the wiring.

The metal door shell is the same part number for all 986's, and the 986's of 1998 and later vintage have side air bags, so it should be a direct replacement.

The panel is one solid piece.
