Spoiler is jammed. Hydraulics?

Hello everybody.
I already searched on several forums, but nothing came up. No luck with WSM either.
My spoiler does not always retract. Sometimes, just the right side of it goes up, but the left one stays down. It started doing it after an ice storm, so I disabled it to not cause any damage but looks like the damage is already done. If I gently pull on it when it is retracting - it will go up, but next time - it jams again.
Are our spoilers hydraulically activated like 996 or is it a cable?
I havent had a chance to take it apart and see yet.
Have anybody tried to take it apart/clean/lubricate it or bleed the system if its hydraulic?
Figured I would give it a last chance before i ditch it in favor of fixed wing.
Any info is apreciated
Alex

It's actuated by a cable, with the motor/ transmission assembly inside the rear trunk on the back wall. Not sure if they sell parts for this, or if you have to replace the whole assembly.
