That's really a better deal than FVD since the Durametric software is around $350 by itself.

Now I am scratching my head on which one will give me better tuning results! Decisions decisions...

Can anybody give pros and cons between the two?

I will probably go with the Softronic deal as I need the Durametric software to see what's up with my recent CEL.
Same problem. I'm trying to decide. Is the Durametric software really that usefull? you can erase a CEL, but in most cases it will just return. and I can already do that with a $20 scanner from Autozone. You can view all kinds of values, over revs etc.. but you can't modify them.

Also, how are there ECU flashes in comparison to FVD? I have intake, headers, Full exhaust and am looking for maximum benefit from these mods. how is Softronics reputation compared to FVD? wouldn't mind the extra software but FVD's price is in enticing. Help

I havent used the Durametric syuff but I think it allows you to clear more codes than a basic scanner. Like airbag/immobilizer codes and others maybe.

But what do I know, I only have 20 posts... wait, now I'm at 21!!!!

On my way to being an expert!!!

2K3 Boxster,

Read the reviews on 6Speed and Planet 9 regarding all of the positive experiences members have had with FVD and their products. Their commitment to customer service is unsurpassed, and their products all perform in an exemplary manner. Also, in all due respect, I suspect the reason why you keep getting CEL's is because of the NHP exhaust components on your vehicle. I know several others who are experiencing the same as a result of that brand.

Yes, I know for a fact the CEL is from the O2 sensors in the sport CATS. Not unhappy about that at all. That just tells me they are working like they should be. Flowing freely and the ecu is reading no change in values in the Post sampling. easy fix O2 bung extender.

Thanks for your opionion on the quality of FVD and there products. After reading your post. I have decided to go ahead with FVD. Will be calling them Monday, hopefully there sale is still on. Thanks again
