Exclamation 986 sputter

Father purchased a 2000 boxster 2.7 new. I purchased it in June. Car had 15,063 miles when I purchased it. Was serviced at the dealer. I changed the plugs at 20,000 miles. Oil, filter and air filter at 23,000. Have noticed a flutter while driving at around 2000 rpm. No check engine light. Accelerates and drives fine. Research says, MAF sensor. Could it be the fuel filter? Car was stored indoors at all times.
Extremely low mileage kinda bothered me. Any ideas.

The experts say no, but see Possible Indicator of Impending IMS Failure anyway.
