Thats what I'm talkling about. Something cheap, lightweight and functional. That would be perfect.

300hp 3.6L 993 engine in a 2300lb narrow body 914 It forces you to learn how to drive
Thankfully.. it is all under the Boxster when used. We don't have a lot of room under the rear of the 914!!

How did you you shoehorn that beast in there? I want to put a 2.5L in a 67-69 VW square/notchback...that would be a runner.

Search Youtube for 914Club. I show a dyno pull of the orange car
It is a direct bolt up to the stock 914 trans Everything up too a 3.2l air cooled Carrera engine is a direct bolt in to a 914 chassis.. I can use ALL factory engine tin, oil lines.. blah blah from a 1970 9146.

Oops, made a mistake, the tubing is 1 7/8". It's still stock headers and Cats. Anyways, here is a video on the dyno but I couldn't get any numbers because the dyno needs to read RPMs off the crank and that just wasn't possible without removing a bunch of covers. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aVMnjSyeyzQ

actually, you will have to go to your local organic metal fabricator and buy conflict free fair trade metal to be made into "green" exhaust pipes. look for the certified sticker indicating that no person under 18 made it and the company was paid a fair hourly rate....LOL

Any update on the NHP exhaust yet?
2K3_boxster_S: Did you put your boxster on the dyno with the NHP exhaust yet? Interested to see the results. How does it sound? I know that $895 is a lot more than what the target is here....but it looks to be made very nicely.
Loosecanon - I love the simplicity of your design #3. What kind of dollars if you build another one? I want to shed the pounds and would love to make it a bit louder too. HP increase....that is the icing on the cake!

For me to build another one or for you to build another one? Summit racing sells the pipe for about $18.00, the stainless tips are around $30.00 and the larger pipe for the resonators is about $10.00. Any local guy with a welder and drill press can make it for you. The inside pipe is 1 7/8" and the outside pipe should be 3" or greater.

still Fully stock. i keep getting sent out of town for my work. I also still haven't got an accurate (baseline) dyno of the full stock setup yet. It will be back on the dyno for the baseline middle Aug. then my setup will be full headers, bypass mids and the NHP exhaust. let you know when i get there

After the cats, the factory has a small u-shaped tube in each side and the new exhaust just slides into them and clamps on. It will make more sense when you take the old muffler off. It's quite easy to fit a new one.
